Stikbook is a new social media app taking on TikTok and Instagram. When I joined as the lead UI/UX designer, the app was missing several key interactions and lacked visual cohesion. The interface felt dated, and the horizontal scroll experience was clunky for users.
I aimed to rethink everything—from foundational user flows to visual identity. I dove into research, studying industry leaders and working closely with developers to understand technical constraints. In Figma, I designed detailed wireframes, prototypes, and a complete design system using components and animation tokens that brought the app to life.
The vertical scroll redesign significantly improved user navigation, and usability testing helped refine micro-interactions. One of my key contributions was building a design system that cut developer revisions by 25% and ensured consistency across all new features.
The app is preparing for launch, and I'm excited to see how it evolves. This project sharpened my ability to balance aesthetics with usability and to collaborate across teams in a startup setting.
